Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data SIA LaiZinat (“LaiZinat”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit laizinat.com or contact us, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and reply to enquiries.
Who is responsible
SIA LaiZinat, Viskaļu iela 36A, Rīga, LV-1006, Latvia. Registration number 40203648717. The controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) can be reached at mail@laizinat.com.
What we collect
When you browse the site. This website is a set of static pages. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we set no cookies of our own. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical connection data — such as your IP address, the requested page, timestamp, referrer and browser user agent — to deliver the site and to protect it against attack and abuse. Cloudflare may set a security cookie for this purpose.
When you contact us. If you send us an email or submit the contact form, we receive the details you provide — your name, email address and the contents of your message — together with anything else you choose to include.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
Technical connection data is processed to operate and secure the website, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a functioning and protected service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The content of your enquiry is processed to respond to you and, where it leads to work, to prepare and perform a contract (Articles 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use your contact details to send marketing.
Who else processes it
We rely on a small number of service providers who act as processors on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, DNS and security.
- Mailbox.org (Heinlein Support GmbH, Germany) — our email provider, which processes messages you send us.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, where a business relationship follows, for as long as Latvian accounting and commercial law requires — generally five years. Server and security logs held by our hosting provider are short-lived and are deleted on that provider’s own retention schedule.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request a copy in a portable format. Write to mail@laizinat.com and we will respond within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, Elijas iela 17, Rīga, LV-1050, dvi.gov.lv) or with the supervisory authority where you live.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site or our services change. The date at the top always reflects the most recent substantive change.
